1 hr · Zagreb, Croatia · The 450th anniversary of the death of Marin Držić, Croatia’s prominent renaissance playwright, also known as “Dubrovnik’s Shakespeare”, was marked by the presentation of the English translation of his play “Dundo Maroje” ("Uncle Maroye") by Filip Krenus, at London’s Conway Hall. The visitors had the opportunity to watch the play itself, listen to the music by Luka Sorkočević Quartet and see the photo-exhibition by Gary Godard. The event, which was also attended by the Croatian Ambassador Igor Pokaz, was organized by the House of Marin Držić, co-organized by Istrobooks, British-Croatian Society and Honey-Tongued Theatre Productions, and supported by the City of Dubrovnik and Dubrovnik Tourist Board.
