Dear all,
As you know, in the next couple of days Croatian national football team
will play two crucial qualifying matches for Euro 2008:
- Macedonia v Croatia, Saturday 17th November 7pm (GMT)
- England v Croatia, Wednesday 21st November 8pm (GMT)
Croatia is likely to qualify, but that is certainly not guaranteed.
We can fail to qualify if Russia beats Israel and we loose to
Macedonia on Saturday and England beats us by a two-goal margin
at Wembley on Wednesday. Any other combination (say a point in Skopje)
would suffice. On the other hand, England is not very likely to qualify.
* Macedonia v Croatia, Saturday 17th November
This game, unfortunately, will not be screened on any of the
'standard pub' channels (BBC, ITV, Sky Sports, Eurosport, ...),
buy only on Croatian and Macedonian TV. For that reason, we cannot
find a pub to watch the game.
Our best bet is F3K (Famous Three Kings) in West Kensington - they
might get Macedonian TV on time. However, this is not guaranteed,
but it's worth a try if you really want to watch the game.
F3K, 171-173 North End Road, London W14 9NL

* England v Croatia, Wednesday 21st November at new Wembley
The interest for the game is huge, tickets extremely difficult to get.
At least 7,000 Croatian fans won't get a ticket they desperately want.
If you don't have a ticket, we have organised the screening of
the game at our usual place, the Cadogan Arms on King's Road.
Even more - together with the Croatian Football Federation (HNS), we
are organising a Croatian House - a meeting point for Croatian fans in
London - for three days (Tue-Thu).
So, if you fancy a pint, there will be many fans in checkered shirts.
There will be a few surprises, too, but more details to follow soon.
