Croatia's Janica Kostelic narrowed the gap on World Cup overall leader Anja Paerson by winning Sunday's World Cup combined event at San Sicario in Italy. Kostelic clocked a total time of two minutes 19.35 seconds, with Paerson taking second in 2:19.78 ahead of Canada's Emily Brydon in 2:20.67.
The Croatian led after the downhill and stayed ahead of Paerson after the slalom to win by 0.43 seconds.
Kostelic has reduced Paerson's overall lead to 63 points with four races left.
