Who are they? They beat Dinamo Zagreb in ZG by 2:1, sensational result, causing the Chief Executive of Dinamo to resign.
Is this a rich club?

Slaven Belupo is based in Koprivnica (60 miles north from Zagreb), town of some 30.000 people in Northern Croatia, famous for Podravka (Vegeta) food processing plant.
It is mainly sponsored by Belupo, a subsidiary of Podravka, which produces medicine (among others Viagra by license).
It did well in Intertoto Cup over the years and among others beat Aston Villa in Koprivnica.
It has a small stadium capacity about 4.000 people.

Slaven Belupo are the best team ever in the Intertoto Cup!  they have the most points in the history of the tournament. They are one of the few clubs in Croatia that are run normally and because of this they have a good squad and can get results. They started off the season poorly but look at them now. No really well known players, they have a few Croatia U21 internationals and a former BiH international. |

Slaven are probably the only club in Croatia, which pays its players and staff regularly.
They had a bad start this year, due to players being tired because of involvemeny in the Intertoto Cup!

Slaven are probably the only club in Croatia, which pays its players and staff regularly. Varteks and Kamen Ingrad do too. Kamen's owner is a rich local business men who loves the club: he paid for their new stadium and he even gave the players a raise when the qualified for the UEFA Cup a few seasons ago. |

how? They got 4-5 million euro for Bjelanovic, a couple million for Mumlek. They got maybe 500K-1 millnion for Karic and Vasilj. The owner invested all the money into the youth team though
