Serbia and Montenegro were crowned European junior champions yesterday after coming from two goals down to beat rivals Croatia 8-7 in extra time at the National Pool.
It was a thrilling contest with the Serbs completing a remarkable comeback after recovering from a 6-4 deficit at the start of the final quarter.
Vojislav Vejzagic scored the winner in the second period of extra-time.
GREAT RESULT FOR CROATIA!
Earlier, Hungary beat Italy 7-6 to finish third.
Other results: France vs Germany 9-7; Slovakia vs Spain 5-9; Greece vs Russia 10-7; Italy vs Hungary 6-7.
