Kranjcar has named a 26-man squad for the game against Israel in Varazdin on 18 August.
From the Euro squad he has dropped Milan Rapaic, Nenad Bjelica and Giovani Rosso, Vladimir Vasilj, Mario Tokic and Tomo Šokota. I did not think Sokota would be dropped but on the other hand he did have a poor tournament. The others were predictable. Rapaic can't run anymore, Bjelica & Rosso are probably a bit too old now, Vasilj was always 4th choice and Tokic is just a poor defender imo.
Eight new players have been called up. They are ::
Niko Kranjcar, Vedran Ješe, Mario Carevic, Jasmin Agic, Nikola Šafaric, Ivica Banovic, Ivan Leko and Jurica Vranješ.
I thought Ivan Leko was unlucky not to get called up to the Euro squad.
