go to www.viamichelin.comtype in your departure and arrival cities, then it works out an itinerary and gives the toll costs... as for petrol, epends on what you drive, but you might save money by getting to dover with the bare minimum of petrol then filling up on the continent.

Petrol, around £100.
Road tolls, depending on the route you take. In Austria you need a vignette which is around 10 euro, and there are a couple of tunnels between Linz and Graz that charge tolls - if I remember correctly, there are about 3 of those and the toll is not more than 10 euro each. If you go via Munich and Salzburg, there is only one. There are some road tolls on Slovenian and Croatian motorways, but they are not expensive and they accept payment in euros - but you will need correct change.
A handy tip - if you go via Lubourg (i.e. Calais - Lille - Lubourg - Stuttgart - Munich etc), petrol there costs about half its price elsewhere in Europe. This route is slower, though.
My favourite route is Calais - Oostende - Bruxelles - Liege - Cologne - Frankfurt - Passau - Graz etc; this keeps you on major (mostly German) motorways for most of the time, and it is much quicker than anything else.
The route suggested by viamichelin is rubbish - don't even bother.

Oh, and another thing - don't get to Dover with the bare minimum of petrol. The first filling station towards Bruxelles is around Middelkerke, which is a good 150 miles from Calais. Towards Lille it is something similar.

How long does it take to drive from London to Split?

I have done it a few times (During Summer)
Allow at least two days. (one/two overnight stops) and some hard driving.
Although it is about 1000 miles (1500km) from Calais to Split, road conditions and heavy holiday traffic slows the journey down once you get into southern Germany even before getting into Croatia.
You can do it in one go if you have more then one driver. I didn't!
