Croatian Embassy in London Croatian mezzo-soprano Renata Pokupić returns to Wigmore Hall to give a programme that is sure to be enhanced by her velvety timbre and intense musicianship. Abandoned heroines are the central figures in this programme by the wide-ranging Croatian mezzo-soprano, accompanied by a period-instrument ensemble that specialises in the music of Vivaldi and his contemporaries, including the less familiar Giuseppe Antonio Brescianello and Giovanni Alberto Ristori. BBC Radio 3 will broadcast this concert on Friday 22 March at 7.30pm and it will be available via BBC iPlayer Radio and the BBC Sounds app for 30 days Renata Pokupić holds numerous awards among which are the Le Cercle International des Amis et Mecenes du Chatelet award (International Circle of Friends and Patrons of Théâtre du Châtelet, CIAM) and the Orlando for the best performance at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival 2004 with the Purcell Quartet, award Milka Trnina and is the member of the International Women's Forum.
