In this Year of Faith and in celebration of Croatia’s forthcoming entry into the European Union the Croatian Chaplaincy has the pleasure to invite you to a concert by the Croatian girl choir “Mozartine” from Zagreb. On the same day (21 April) a memorial Mass will be celebrated for Baroness Thatcher, a friend of Croatia, who died recently. The Mozartine girls’ choir is one of the most successful in Croatia. It was founded in the capital, Zagreb, and has been active since 1999. It involves 50 girls aged between 12 and 20 years. Their repertoire includes primarily classical music, but also modern pop music reworked for choir singing. They have worked and cooperated with the best Croatian orchestras, and many domestic and foreign musicians and conductors. In addition to their many performances in Croatia, every year the choir goes on tour and has performed across Europe as well as in the United States. Concert in the Church will include choral pieces by Mozart, Mendelssohn, Britten, Pergolesi as well as by Croatian composers.
