The Croatian pianist Diana Brekalo was brought up in Stuttgart. She won her first prize at the age of twelve. Diana Brekalo studied at the Guildhall School of Music under Joan Havill and attended masterclasses with Rudolf Piernay, Robin Bowman, Christophe Pregardien, martin Roscoe and Ronan O'Hora. A member of the Yehudi Menuhin foundation, Diana Brekalo has performed throughout Europe and in the USA, Japan and China.
The Kelemen Sonata of 1954 has elements of classicism and folklore. It has been performed over 200 times. Kelemen studied under Oliver Messiaen and other influences include Shostakovich, Stravinsky and Steve Reich.
Rosslyn Hill Chapel is a recording and concert venue with a Steinway Model D. It is situated on Rosslyn Hill behind wrought iron gates, 300 meters from Hampstead tube station (Northern Line) and 400 meters from Hampstead Heath Station (London Overground); it is also on 46 and 268 bus routes. Limited free parking is accessed via Kemplay Road.
