Greetings from Wales, Hopefully some of your relatives/contacts may be able to assist me in purchasing a house in Northern Croatia,we have visited once and really liked your country. I have been reading the paper oglasnik and there are a number of properties we are interested in looking at in March. However i need an english speaking Lawyer for the paperwork and more importantly an independent agent to make the appointments to view and get us there as well as translating the descriptions of the houses i have and any other relative paperwork.

Hello "Insideright"! What do you mean by "Northern Croatia"? I have English-speaking Croatian lawyer and architect friends in Osijek, if this might help. They buy and sell old and new properties and building plots, and can also design and build. Honest, cheap, relatively, and efficient.
A note of caution. Buy a property with simple, "clean" title deeds, NOT something owned by half a dozen brothers, one in America, one in Australia, one in Argentina....
If you are interested, it would be better to pursue this by telephone.
