In 2001 he went for his secondary musical education to Rijeka and has just graduated with the highest marks ever awarded in Croatia. Mme Natalia Pavlutskaya who teaches cello at Trinity College of Music and at the Purcell School has described him as "exceptionally talented". There are no grants available for his studies at Trinity. The Stone-Mallabar Foundation is promoting this concert to seek to match the funds which it is advancing for Stjepan's studies.
