Croatian Coach Baris is optimistic, but he is always like that!

To qualify, Croatia need to get an equal or better result against Bulgaria than Belgium do against Estonia. It's mostly in Croatia's hands, however they do have a couple of external factors in their favour. 1) Bulgaria have already qualified as top, so may sit back. 2) Estonia have been a reasonable side in the group and although they can't qualify, may give Belgium a run for their money. Estonia concede few which might mean a closer game than many think is on the cards. Croatia are 1/2 to beat Bulgaria and Belgium are 1/4 to beat Estonia so they should both win, which would take the Croats through. Because both matches are played at the same time, Croatia should be aware of the score in the other game, although if things are in their favour they can't afford to relax like they did in the WC2002 against Ecuador, when their passage was seemingly clear after the great (Has anyone seen Graham Poll on his free holidays to Croatia?) victory over Italy.

Well done Croatia on making the play offs. It could be tough with the likes of Holland, Norway, Spain and Turkey also in the pot though!

Greece are a solid side, particularly at home. Also the Czech Republic have some great players, so losing to either of these sides is no great indicator of a decline. I wouldn't write off any of the teams in the play offs, it's going to be an interesting draw!
