This is a shame for UK democracy - one MP in modern time Britain has been expelled from his party for campaigning against the war in Iraq.. Everything else they mention he has done - I simply do not believe. Shame. Shame. Shame .

Why are you getting so indignant? Galloway is a well-known friend of Slobo and defender of everything bad the Serbs did during the war.

Why are you getting so indignant? Galloway is a well-known friend of Slobo and defender of everything bad the Serbs did during the war. This is of a very little importance now. What is important that in a democratic society people should have a right to think what they think and GG wasn't the single sole in his opinion in UK. Suppressing the opposition in this way is Stanjinism! Centralism of the worst sort. Same thing is happening in US, Israel and wherever the globalisation has its s. bases. If you open a newspaper looks like everyone thinks the same. There is no opposition. This is wrong! There is more democracy in Croatia at the moment then in more developed democratic societies.

I would like for Phil to expand on Georges' links with Milosovic. For sure he opposed NATO bombing but is their anything further?
George Galloway is my MP and if he chooses to stand as an independent he will definitely have my vote.

Re: "What is important that in a democratic society people should have a right..." Democracy? Does anyone really believe in that? While we are on this topic, can anyone point me to one real democratic society or country in the world? I mean, not one which proclaim themselves democratic but where democracy is applied to real life and really practiced. In my opinion it does not exist and all is just story for naive people who believe politician stories and lies. I think one of worst case of this when Tudjman, eight years a go while he was president, proclaimed Croatia "Most democratic country in the world". That will be funny if it was not sad at that time. (I have feeling that I will be fried for this comment)

Democracy? Maybe Switzerland. They have referenda on everthing conceivable there and you are fined if you don't go to vote!
