Bok svima I am having difficulty with a few words needed for the translation of an archaeological report for the Arheološki muzej in Split. Can anyone help? I need to finish it urgently, this weekend, as it needs to go to the printers quite soon. "preparator" = ? (some kind of museum curator? "Taxidermist" seems unlikely, but not impossible). "vid" = ? in the sentence "Za skulpturu se vezala pomoæu èeliènih vida." "zavarivanje", "navarivanje" and "matalizaciju" = in the phrase "poduzeæe za specijalno reparaturno zavarivanje, navarivanje i matalizaciju "Salona var". " and finally this whole sentence! "Ciljanim radiografskim snimanjima i odabirom odgovarajuèih filmova za industrijsku radiografiju, tehnika, parametrisnimanja, kemijska obrada filmova uspješno je dijagnosticirano veèina objekata". I hope someone can help. Thanks.

Opps.. hey this return key here is so quick.. Sorry..
Hi Grga, Preparator: I believe the person who puts together the bones etc picked up on the site and puts them together using the material and techniques.. Could it be restaurateur..
Vida is a screw.
I do not the word for zavarivanje, can not remember now, maybe someone else would remember, it is all dealing with metals. Zavarivanje is to put together using the liquidating of a metal. I think the word is welding. Navarivanje is to stick on by metal Metalizacija is to cover by metal The sentence: definitely something is wrong with this sentence by I'll try to help Ciljanim radiografskim snimanjem - by targeted radiographic filming, and by choosing the suitable films used in industrial radiography, techniques of parametric filming, the chemical results of the films have diagnosed most of the objects..

Vida is used in Dalmatia. I can not really guess the whether this is a foreign word or not: "zavidati" "odvidati" Saraf is definitivno a foreign word. not sure what pure croatian word for this would be.. Ako je "sarafciger"= "odvijac" - mogla bi to i biti "vida" ..
