Who is Tony Popovic, Crystal Palace star? Serbian or Croatian (by origin)?

Croatian by background. Parents are immigrant Croats from Sydney, Australia. Tony played for a number of years for the former National League team Sydney United (formerly Sydney Croatia) and has been a regular member of Australia's national team for many years now

I met Poppa once a few years ago and watched him play nearly every game for Sydney Croatia. That person that wrote the post above is right - he is a gentleman and one of the nicest guys you can ever meet. I heard that he owns a house in Dalmacija somewhere, but I'm not sure if that's true.
Palace want to sign Tony to a new contract and I wish him all the best as he is a credit to himself, his country, his people and his family.
